Host Your Next Event at The Oak Tree Inn, Loch Lomond

If you’re planning a meeting, event, or getaway and want it to be truly memorable, consider The Oak Tree Inn in Balmaha.

You’ll find us on the pretty eastern shore of Loch Lomond, just a short drive from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling. Easy to reach, yet a world away in atmosphere.

Balmaha’s spectacular scenery at the start of the Highlands meets warm Scottish hospitality, providing you with a venue that encourages productivity, creativity and relaxation.

The Oak Tree Inn isn’t your typical corporate venue. With cosy interiors, spectacular views, and a relaxed village feel, it combines rustic charm with modern comforts. We have 42 thoughtfully designed bedrooms, ranging from standard to deluxe, and enjoy award-winning gastropub dining that showcases the best local food and drink.

We’ve also got some interesting and distinctive venues to suit all kinds of events:

The Roastery

A fully private space for up to 50 guests, ideal for training days, board meetings or presentations. Expect dependable Wi-Fi, presentation equipment, a hearty lunch, and coffee roasted on-site at Loch Lomond Coffee—just metres away.

The Bus

A lovingly converted vintage bus set right on the lochside. This quirky venue seats 14 for dinner or up to 28 for drinks and is perfect for private dining, whisky tastings, or relaxed evening receptions with stunning views.

Taste the Highlands

Food and drink are at the heart of any great event—and we have some standout options to elevate your experience:

Dinner on The Bus (£100pp)

A hyper-local, three-course feast with expertly paired drinks and a finishing dram.

Fizz & Chips (£35pp)

Haddock and chips with a glass of Champagne or local craft lager—simple, celebratory and satisfying.

Whisky Tasting (£40pp)

A guided journey through some of Scotland’s finest malts—ideal for unwinding after a productive day.

More Than Meetings

Between sessions, take advantage of Balmaha’s natural playground. Your group can:

·      Climb Conic Hill for stunning panoramic views

·      Cruise to Inchcailloch Island for a taste of lochside tranquillity

·      Try our quirky Haggis Hunt—a light-hearted scavenger hunt through the village

We can also arrange bespoke excursions such as distillery tours at Glengoyne or watersports on the loch, perfect for turning your agenda into a memorable adventure.

Sustainability at Heart

We’re proud to do business the right way. The Oak Tree Inn has invested in over 300 solar panels and a biomass plant (partly powered by recycled coffee grounds) as part of our commitment to sustainable hospitality. Hosting your event here means supporting a family-run business that genuinely cares about the environment and the local community.
